On October 14th, 2022 members of Thrive Morris joined in helping with some man and woman hours installing insulation for a 25 unit building in Randolph, N.J. Habitat for Humanity has a vision is where everyone has a decent place to live. They welcome people from all walks of life to partner with them as volunteers, donors, employees, and homebuyers. They celebrate and value diversity, welcome differences, and leverage the collective strengths of all people.
According to site manager Jason DeVito, there will be 25 individual homes on the property in Randolph build, costing about 7 million dollars of materials, and donated hours and supplies. He was the only employee of Habitat for Humanity on the property. Jason said he loves the rewarding feeling he gets when he sees a child playing in the houses he helped build.
There were well over 25 people donating time helping with a variety of tasks including cleaning, exterior brick laying, electrical work, and insulation. Some of the attendees were Morris County Chamber of Commerce members (shown from L. to R.) including Sugar Free Lifestyle Coach MaryEllen Zung, Lois Manzella Marchitto of Fitness Knocking®, Founder and CEO of StretchSource, Mara Kimowitz, Barb Minemier, from Your Healthy Truth, Kathy D’Agati from Back to Basic Wellness, Joan Arata from Modern Acupuncture in Florham Park, Alan Rauchberg of Rauchberg Dental Group and Midsize Business Lender Daniel Son from M&T Bank.
The group got to meet one of the homeowners who was putting in some of her family’s 400 hours. She was moving from Piscataway New Jersey and was thrilled to have been picked to have a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom home in Randolph for her family.
