Melanoma is a form of skin cancer which takes away many lives each and every year. It can attack all people of all ages.
The Mike Geltrude Foundation was established by the Geltrude family of Nutley on behalf of our father who died of Melanoma 16 years ago.
Mike Geltrude was a teacher and coach and guided many over the course of his life.
Since then the Mike Geltrude Melanoma Foundation has worked to educate young people, establish legislation in the State and educate people about this terrible disease.
Each year this fundraising event is held to continue to spread the word about Melanoma and continue to save lives.
Please join us for our 16th annual fundraising dinner
“We’ve got to get the message out to people about how bad this thing can be. I don’t think they realize how important it is to get their skin checked. If we let them know about the dangers of melanoma, they’ll have a shot to save themselves.”
Mike Geltrude Foundation, Inc. is an approved 501(c)(3) organization that was established about a month before Mike’s passing in 2006 for the purpose of raising funds for melanoma awareness, education and research. Unfortunately, Mike passed before he was able to see the overwhelming response to the foundation that bears his name.
